How it works
We will discuss beforehand a location and time to meet.
For the shoot, just bring your pup and their favorite treats, toys, or outfits!
Photoshoots take about an hour.
After the shoot, please allow at least 3 weeks to be provided with final edits.
You can expect at least 5 professionally edited photos.
Types of Portraits
Standard
We meet at a beautiful, outdoor location and take some cute snaps! We won’t be fussy about coordinating with weather - so there’s more flexibility in scheduling. We can capture your pup posed, chasing a toy, together with their human, whatever you like!
Artsy
Let’s get creative! We can create lots of different moods with fun color combos. This is something that is added during the editing step, so just like a ‘basic’ portrait, we meet at a scenic spot and grab some snaps.
Glamour
My personal favorite! Glamour shots have a beautiful sunny rim light on your pup with a gorgeous blurry backdrop. In order to get these type of shots, we have to coordinate with the weather. These shots can only be captured during sunrise or sunset, which changes time throughout the year.
Cost
Sessions are $200 and include the following:
One hour photoshoot at our chosen outdoor location
5-10 beautiful, digitally edited photographs
Assistance ordering physical prints (at your own additional cost)
Questions?
Q : What if my dog is CRAZY and can’t sit still for photos?
A: It’s best to come into a photoshoot with an open mind; instead of having an extremely specific image in your head of what you want your dog to do - let’s meet and see where the moment takes us. Rather than trying to shove a dog into a posture that is uncomfortable, it’s best to let them do their thing, and my job is to capture them in their natural, happy behavior!
Q : Does my dog need to be good off leash?
A : For my shoots, your dog never needs to be off leash. Editing software has come a long way, and we can remove leashes and sometimes entire harnesses in the editing process.
Q : What if I don’t know what kind of photo I want?
A : No problem! That’s what I’m here for! After learning a bit more about your dog, I can handle taking photos that make your dog shine - whether it’s simply sitting and looking cute, running after a ball, or sniffing curiously in the grass.
Q : How can I get a Glamour shot of my pup on my schedule?
A : Unfortunately, Glamour shots can only be captured during bright, sunny golden hour around sunrise or sunset. If you are unable to meet me during those times, which are sometimes very early or very late depending on the time of year, we will not be able to capture a Glamour shot. However, sunny or overcast days also provide their own unique aesthetic that is also nice! So don’t fret. We can still get a nice portrait of your furry friend.
Q : It’s cold out! Can we still do a shoot?
A : Of course! Chilly days often create a nice atmosphere for photography. I can shoot in most temperatures, but I don’t do shoots when it is raining.
